I, along with many others, grew up listening to her music and admiring her vocal quality, along with great songwriting skills which were never recognized enough. I will always be grateful to Donna for our collaboration on Enough is Enough (No More Tears) in New York some years ago. It remains an artistic highlight for me to this day. My thoughts go out to her family in this time of great sadness and transition".

Tina has just been received into the Ordre National du Mérite (National Order of Merit) in Paris, for her outstanding contribution to French Art and Culture.

French Cultural Minister, Frédéric Mitterrand decorated Tina with the insignia of Knighthood at an intimate ceremony in the French Culture Offices.
The award, rarely given to non French nationals, acknowledges Tina's contribution to the Arts, and her devotion to cultural exchange.

Tina said :

"I am honoured to be presented with the award, I feel like I am a bridge between two cultures... It inspires me, I want to continue to experiment in that exchange".

With patriotic pride, Tina made a last minute dash for the podium on the Champs Elysees on the final day of the 2011 Tour de France. Her rush to stage was actually to congratulate fellow Australian Cadel Evans who won in an impressive and hard fought victory against an outstanding field of competitors.

Tina sang the Australian national anthem and then applauded the cycling champion as he was awarded the winning jersey.
